Mark Serafino announces retirement from OmniCable

Omni Cable Corporation (OmniCable)’s Mark Serafino, central regional vice president (RVP), has announced plans to retire, effective Dec. 31, 2019.

Serafino began his career in the electrical industry in 1980 and joined OmniCable in 1987. He has been the company’s central RVP since 2014, and prior to that, held a variety of positions including outside sales and St. Louis regional manager.

Once retired, Serafino will continue to serve as a public speaking and presentation coach. He also plans to spend time with his family, as well as fish, read and write.

Serafino will be succeeded by Chris Bjorkman, currently the company’s director of market development, Canada, effective Jan. 1, 2020. In this role, Bjorkman will be responsible for managing the company’s Toronto, Chicago, Houston and St. Louis locations and working closely with the company’s regional managers at those locations.

Bjorkman joined the company in 2018 as director of market development. During his first year, he successfully led the opening of OmniCable’s Toronto location, including collaborating with every corporate role and hiring the Canadian sales team.

Prior to his work with OmniCable, Bjorkman has over 30 years of experience in sales and marketing in the wire and cable redistribution market throughout the U.S. and Canada.
