MaxLite releases ballast-compatible LED U-bend lamp

August 4, 2015 – MaxLite has expanded its DirectFit line of ballast- compatible LED products with a T8 U-bend lamp designed to upgrade fluorescent fixtures.
Suitable for use in enclosed, bi-pin socketed luminaires, such as 2-by-2 ft T8 U-bend fluorescent fixtures, the DirectFit U-bend plugs into the existing ballast without any re-wiring. The 16W replacement lamp features a light engine that delivers 1800 lumens using an extra wide, 320-degree beam angle. An integral driver is also stored within the tube’s cap.
The lamp is compatible with most instant-start T8 ballasts. Offered in colour temperatures of 3500K, 4000K and 5000K, each tube is rated to a lifetime of 50,000 hours.
