McCormick CEO honoured with Wendt Award

October 30, 2009 | By Anthony Capkun

Jack McCormick, founder and CEO of McCormick Systems, was honoured at September’s NECA Convention with the Wendt Award, which “recognizes exemplary leadership and service to the electrical industry”.

Since 1992, McCormick Systems and its founder have been involved with
Electri International—an electrical contracting industry research
organization. Over the years, the company has contributed $350,000 to
the research organization. Additionally, McCormick Systems has,
according to Jack McCormick, provided “an in-kind investment of close
to $900,000 by giving colleges and universities access to our software”.

Jack McCormick was an electrical contractor (and member of NECA) in
1978, when he founded the company that would eventually become
McCormick Systems. One of the first efforts made to promote the
company’s products was to exhibit at the 1981 NECA Show in Las Vegas.
