Memorial for Bill Hetherington, Allen-Bradley and Rockwell

September 10, 2021* – Thank you, Isabel, for letting us know that all those who worked with and/or knew William (Bill) Ewart Hetherington are invited to attend his Memorial and share stories of his life.

According to his obituary, Bill passed away peacefully at RiverGardens in Stratford, Ont., in December 2020. He was 89. Cremation has already taken place.

The Memorial will take place September 30, 2021, at the Galt Country Club (Cambridge, Ont.) from 5 pm to 8 pm.

In electrical circles, Bill will be remembered as president & CEO of Allen-Bradley Canada, Rockwell Canada, and chair of Rockwell International of Canada Ltd.

He held positions on the boards of numerous associations, including chair of EEMAC (Electrical Equipment Manufacturers Association of Canada) and director of CMA (Canadian Manufacturers Association), among others.

He is survived by his wife Isabel (Huitema); children Sarah Downes (Tony), Jeremy (Robbie), and Tom (Tamara); grandchildren Tom, Clancy, Patrick, Benjamin, Naomi and Joshua; stepchildren Morgen and Natalie Grigg. He also leaves behind his sister Mary and many brother- and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
