December 15, 2013 – Mersen says it has won a contract with Siemens Wind Power for the Siemens Integrated Control System (SICS) project. The deal is worth around 2.4 million euro, with deliveries taking place next year. It will cover requirements for some 600-700 wind turbines, representing a capacity of 2.1GW.

The contract is to supply coolers, busbars and fuses comprising Mersen’s power electronics bundle offer. These items will be integrated in the new control systems for Siemens’ latest generation of wind turbines of over 2MW.
