Mersen USG UltraSafe fuseholders feature spring terminal technology

January 8, 2013 | By Alyssa Dalton

January 8, 2013 – Mersen is aiming to deliver “significant cost savings and a higher degree of reliability” with the addition of USGCC (class CC), USGM (midget class) and USGM-HEL (photovoltaic class) to its line of UltraSafe fuseholders. The new USGCC and USGM fuseholders are equipped with Cage Clamp, a screw-less, spring pressure, wire termination technology. According the Mersen, the spring terminal technology improves system reliability by maintaining a very low contact resistance, easily withstanding corrosion, vibration and temperature cycling. USGCC and USGM also feature IP20 finger-safe protection, DIN-rail mounting and tool-free fuse change-outs. The fuseholders are available and designed for use with class CC, midget and photovoltaic fuses at ratings up to 32A and 750VAC/1000VDC.
