Milwaukee kicks off May with five new hand tools

May 1, 2013 | By Alyssa Dalton

May 1, 2013 – Milwaukee Electric Tool has expanded its hand tool offering with five new products:

• The 10in1 multi bit drivers (first photo) feature 3-1/2-in power groove bits for power tool compatibility and extended reach. This launch also includes ratcheting multi bit drivers and Hex/Torx key driver sets (fifth photo), each offering chrome plated bits for marine-grade rust protection and magnetic bit retention. Additional inclusions like the wire stripper, loop maker and wrench-ready hex shank provide further jobsite functionality.

• The 4PC SAE nut drivers (second photo) claim to fit four times more fasteners including Square, Hex, 12 point & Spline, and have the ability to remove rusted and stripped bolts. The nut drivers feature a 3-in hollow shaft design and wrench-ready hex steel shanks that are forged and chrome plated for durability and leverage.

• The UL classified 1000V insulated screwdrivers (third photo) are tested to IEC 60900:2012, ASTM F1505-10 and NFPA 70E standards. With a flame resistant insulation bonded to the tool shank as well as an outer layer of insulation, the new screwdrivers offer a dual layer for maximum safety and keep the driver protected from damage, says Milwaukee. A visual wear indicator also issues a warning to the user when it is time to replace the tool.

• The hardened tips and forged shanks of the new demolition screwdrivers (fourth photo) and screwdriver sets claim to withstand the beating from striking and prying applications. The screwdrivers have a barrel handle, anti-roll design and ID markings for quick tool identification on the jobsite.
