“It is not enough to increase amp-hours and put a higher number on the side of the pack,” said Paul Fry of Milwaukee. “While amp-hours is one piece of the equation, this battery is a ground-up redesign…” The pack’s design routes water away from the electronics and out of the pack, extends life by minimizing heat, and prevents failure from vibration or drops. This design also allows the battery to operate in cold conditions (below -18C). Compatible with your current M18 tools, the XC5.0 is managed by Redlink Intelligence and features both overload and discharge protection.
