Milwaukee says Red Helix bits outlast Black Oxide (48-89-2331, 48-89-4630, 48-89-4631 and 48-89-4630)

November 26, 2015 – Milwaukee Tool’s new line of Shockwave titanium Red Helix impact duty bits and cobalt Red Helix drill bits is its latest innovation in twist-drilling technology. These bits are engineered to “stay sharper longer,” says Milwaukee, and feature a Variable Helix flute geometry for faster material removal, a Chip Breaker to decrease heat build-up and a 135° split point to prevent walking.

Milwaukee says these bits last longer than the Black Oxide Twist drill bits and are used more so in specialty drilling applications such as stainless steel, 4140 and cast iron.
