Milwaukee unveils RedLithium next-gen lithium batteries

September 8, 2010 | By Anthony Capkun

Milwaukee Electric Tool says it has introduced the next generation of lithium battery technology, saying its RedLithium batteries will provide “unmatched runtime, performance and durability” for the professional tradesman. Fully compatible with all M12 and M18 cordless products currently available, RedLithium batteries will provide up to 40% more runtime, 20% more power and 50% more recharges than other lithium products.

The new technology will also operate in temperatures as low as -18°C and will run 20% cooler with fade-free power and no memory effect. This fall, Milwaukee is introducing eight new cordless products powered by RedLithium; then, users will see a full transition to these batteries throughout all Milwaukee cordless products, including 68 offerings on the M12 system, 60 offerings on the M18, and 26 total offerings on the M28 system.
