June 26, 2018 — Mircom recently announced its TX3-CX-1 single door controller is now UL listed.

The TX3-CX-1 is a PoE driven controller that features a unique design aimed to simplify access control. According to Mircom, it is ideal for any door that requires access control where wiring to a traditional metal cabinet is difficult, any access point that requires access control at the edge of the networking using TIA/EIA-485 or TCP/IP, or any access point that only has DC or PoE available

Able to be mounted onto a standard single gang electrical box, the solution features a built-in proximity reader that can be networked using TIA/EIA-485 and/or TCP/IP. It also has all the capabilities to control a single door, including 12 VDC, 700mA of local power for a door strike, and can support any second Wiegand card reader for outside the protected area.
