Mitsubishi electric vehicle charging station logistics partnership with Best Buy and Eaton
November 25, 2010 By Craig Pearson

Mitsubishi Motors North America kicked off the Los Angeles International Auto Show with the unveiling of its all-new i-MiEV (electric vehicle) and, most importantly, the announcement of a new partnership with Best Buy and Eaton Corp. that aims to make electric vehicle (EV) ownership “easier and more attainable to the eco-conscious consumer”.
The partnership is an EV charging station logistics collaboration. Best Buy (through its Geek Squad division) will retail, perform site analysis and work to manage the installation of 220V (15A) Level 2 charging station equipment manufactured by Eaton at an i-MiEV owner’s home. The charging station promises to cut battery charging time by half (over a standard 110V, 15A electrical outlet).
