MRV Communications appoints Dilip Singh as CEO

MRV Communications Inc. – a networking company with 40G equipment, services and optical components specialized for aerospace, defense and other networks – chief executive officer and director Noam Lotan will step down on June 30, 2010 after a 20 year career at MRV.

The board of directors appointed Dilip Singh to serve as chief
executive officer on an interim basis starting July 1, 2010 for one
year. Singh has 38 years of operational executive management experience
in the telecommunications industry with expertise in global markets,
technical and M&A.

Most recently, Singh was the CEO of Tella-Sonera Spice Nepal – a
wireless operator in Nepal – for a year. Before this, Singh was the
CEO/president of Telenity – a convergence applications, service
delivery platform and telecom software company – for four years. Even
before Telenity, Singh was presdent of the customer care and billing
service assurance in the Software Systems Division at ADC
Telecommunications USA. He was also the entrepreneur in residence at MC
Venture Partners, CEO of ADC-NewNet, and executive director of
intelligent network systems development and application engineering at
Sprint Corportaion. Singh has a Masters in Technology and another in
Science.
