January 26, 2023 – Technology Accreditation Canada (TAC) announced Muktha Tumkur as its new executive director.

TAC was created by Technology Professionals Canada to deliver accreditation services for the engineering technology and applied science profession in Canada.

In her role, Tumkur will work with the board, TAC staff and stakeholder groups to deliver “the highest-quality accreditation services to all Canadian colleges providing Engineering Technology and Applied Science programs”, and compliance with International Engineering Alliance (IEA) requirements.

Tumkur comes to TAC with experience in accreditations, standards development, strategy and business development, having worked for many years at CSA Standards. She possesses a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Ryerson (now Toronto Metropolitan University) and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. She is also a licence-holder with Professional Engineers Ontario.
