NEMA publishes HV 2-2014 for ceramic suspension insulators

July 21, 2014 – The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA, in the U.S.) published HV 2-2014 “Suspension and Post-Type Insulators for Electric Power Overhead Lines General Use Information”.

HV 2 provides guidelines for the proper use of insulators and suggestions for precautions to be taken against improper use. This latest edition of HV 2 was rewritten to include all suspension and post type high-voltage insulators as covered in the ANSI C29 series of American National Standards.
