NEMA publishes ICS 4-2010 Application Guideline for Terminal Blocks

January 11, 2011 | By Alyssa Dalton

The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) has published ICS 4-2010 Application Guideline for Terminal Blocks. This guideline, last published in 2005, was produced by NEMA’s Industrial Automation Control Products and Systems Section. In this revision, the document was converted to an application guideline, since ICS 4-2005 duplicated tests found in UL 1059, UL 486E, and the IEC 60947-7-X series of standards. The publication also includes information on ratings, and the construction and manufacture of industrial control equipment. ICS 4 may be downloaded or purchased by visiting www.nema.org/stds/ics4.cfm, or by contacting IHS at 800-854-7179 (within the U.S.), 303-397-7956 (international), or global.ihs.com.
