June 26, 2013 – ERI Safety Videos has released a new arc flash DVD, Electrical Arc Flash Safety Awareness. The 25-minute program is based on the standards for arc flash in Canada. The dual hazards of electric shock and arc flash are explained and highlighted with dramatic arc flash footage. Topics covered in this program include qualified electrical worker requirements, creating an electrically safe working condition, confirming a zero energy state, energized electrical work permits, approach boundaries, incident energy level, arc flash boundaries, hazard risk categories and how to properly dress for arc flash protection.
