On Jan. 13, 2020, Hammond Power Solutions (HPS) officially opened the doors to its new warehouse in Reno, Nev. The new warehouse replaced the company’s Compton, Cal. warehouse, however the Compton facility’s plant operations remained unaffected.

The new warehouse will better accommodate HPS’ growing product sales and provide improved shipping lead time in select regions, says the company.

The new Reno warehouse spans 36,000 sq. ft., which is triple the size of the Compton facility, and will be home to an expanded number of product SKUs.

“The investment in this new facility is part of a broader plan to evolve our operations and customer service,” said Larry Bell, director of supply chain. “Since the facility is within close proximity to major consumption centres on the west coast, we expect lead times to be reduced to one to two days for stocked products in select regions.”

The new warehouse will be managed by personnel from Baraboo, Wis., ensuring an orderly transition, notes the company.
