Newest Starline raceway powers fitness equipment
October 17, 2018 | By Peter Saunders
October 17, 2018 – Universal Electric’s Starline Plug-In Raceway for Fitness (PIRFIT) is now available for health clubs looking for a two-in-one power and networking system that can eliminate thousands of feet of wiring and reduce the associated need for labour.
This new variation of Universal Electric’s Starline plug-in raceway product line integrates power and data cabling for console-type fitness equipment by mounting two double-channel raceways back-to-back on a T floor bracket. The system is powered by 60-A three-phase feeds, which transfer power through the conductors to the plug-in modules containing receptacles.
The plug-in modules also contain a circuit breaker to provide local protection at the point of use and can be rearranged anywhere along the backplane, so as to provide access to power where it is needed within the fitness club.
The system is shipped in preassembled sections and available in a variety of standard and customizable colours.
