November 8, 2018 – A fatal fall for an electrician has resulted in a $150,000 fine for Vollmer, a multi-trade (including electrical) construction contractor based in Windsor, Ont.

October 1, 2018 – Ontario’s Electrical Safety Authority (ESA), which regulates the activities of electrical contractors and related professionals, has designated today, October 1, as Home Electrical Safety Day, a new province-wide day of action to prevent electrical injuries in people’s homes.
September 27, 2018 - Ontario’s Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) announced it has paid off its $14.2-billion unfunded liability (UFL) almost 10 years ahead of its legislated schedule, allowing it to reduce average premium rates by 29.8% in 2019.
September 21, 2018 - Roney Marketing, an agency based in Brampton, Ont., that serves the province’s electrical industry, recently took part in its first local Habitat for Humanity build day.
September 20, 2018 - Hand and power tool manufacturer Irwin is ‘kicking off’ its eighth annual National Tradesmen Day program with a new contest, which will award a VIP football experience to two deserving winners.
September 14, 2018 — Convectair has appointed Roney Marketing as its sales representative agency for southern Ontario.
August 31, 2018 - Ideal Industries, which manufactures tools and products for the electrical industry, has extended the qualifying round for its 2018 National Championship to Oct. 19, to better allow colleges and trade schools to take part in what it calls "the most thrilling competition in the electrical industry."
