November 21, 2012 - Fusetek general manager Malcolm Bird announced that Randy Fillmore will step into the role of national sales manager starting January 3, 2013. Randy has been Fusetek’s Ontario sales manager for the last several years and brings a wealth of industry specific knowledge to the table, says Fusetek.
November 5, 2012 - Electrical Business has learned that Michel Dagenais (first photo) will be retiring from Ipex Electrical Inc. on December 31, 2012, after 32 years of “outstanding service”.

October 17, 2012 -  A•light, a division of AmerillumBrands, has brought on Jason Buckner as central regional sales manager and Molly Dale as his inside sales assistant.
October 8, 2012 - GE Lighting announced John Strainic will head the business’s North America Consumer Lighting operation. In this newly created role, Strainic will be responsible for driving growth for GE Lighting’s North America consumer business.
October 5, 2012 - The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and IEEE today presented awards to the winners of the global IEC-IEEE Challenge, so congratulations to Joyce van de Vegte from British Columbia’s Camosun College for her paper “Bridging the divide with a three-way handshake”, which discusses how historical differences in the access to personal computers triggered a digital divide between those who benefit from the internet and those who do not. She walked away with 3rd prize, $10,000 US.
September 30, 2012 - Lind Equipment has appointed Stuart Dack to the role of product manager, where he will be responsible for leading the company from a technical standpoint, including directing new product design and product customizations. Dack will immediately kick-start development of Lind’s next generation products, including line extensions to the LE970LED 50W LED flood light.

September 6, 2012 - Enbridge has announced Al Monaco as president and CEO, retiring Patrick D. Daniel from the role, effective October 1, 2012. Daniel will also retire from his position on the board at that time.
