EFC gets serious about LVDC technology, and it wants YOU

February 22, 2018 | By Anthony Capkun

February 22, 2018 – Electro-Federation Canada has issued a Call for Participation from its members in a new LVDC (low-voltage DC) Steering Committee/Product Section, launching this Spring.

“This new Steering Committee will comprise EFC manufacturers, distributors and reps who have a vested interest in LVDC technology,” says EFC president and CEO, Carol McGlogan. “This group will focus on key roadblocks facing the new technology, including technical and interoperability concerns, codes and standards, marketing promotion and education.”

According to McGlogan, the Canadian government has a vested interest in promoting LVDC power to remote communities, the new CE Code (2018) now includes updates for its installation and use, and CSA Group is forming a new technical committee for low-voltage DC.
