September 17, 2018 – L’Association de l’industrie électrique du Québec (AIEQ) has announced a new partnership with Innovation en énergie électrique (InnovÉÉ), which finances electrical research and projects, to stimulate greater ‘green’ innovation and competitiveness for the province.

The new alliance will address several related areas, starting with developing community micro-networks and managing energy efficiently with relation to storage and the electrification of transportation. It will also focus on the availability of renewable energy for traditional industrial sectors.

“The alliance will contribute to positioning Quebec as a world-renowned hub for its ability to accelerate the deployment of technologies and infrastructure,” says Denis Tremblay, president and CEO of AIEQ.

“InnovÉÉ’s expertise in open and collaborative innovation and the strength of AIEQ are major assets that, along with other industry stakeholders, will position Quebec as one of the world leaders in green electricity, in all its facets,” says André St-Pierre, InnovÉÉ’s general manager (GM).
