December 21, 2018 – Employees of tool manufacturer Stanley Black & Decker Canada, representing its DeWalt brand, visited a No Frills grocery store in Mississauga, Ont., on Dec. 12 to ‘pay it forward’ and spread holiday joy with random acts of kindness for customers.

Each employee randomly chose a customer in the checkout line, paid for their groceries and presented a token gift and a card asking them to pay it forward by performing their own act of kindness for someone else.

Elsewhere, DeWalt employees who did not take part in the event were encouraged to make donations, pay for a stranger’s meal, smile and offer kind words, paying it forward in their own way.

“Our employees have a long tradition of being involved in their communities through organizations that help to make the world a better place,” says Joe Di Ilio, president of Stanley Black & Decker Canada. “Pay-It-Forward Day is one example of our commitment to help spread goodwill at this special time of the year.”
