February 4, 2019 – Electrical construction and maintenance provider Ducon Utilities has partnered with ‘smart energy’ communications platform developer Trilliant to provide connected LED streetlights to the town of Milton, Ont.

Established in 1991, Ducon serves Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and surrounding areas. The two companies are working closely to deliver the new lights across Milton.

“We are thrilled to work alongside Trilliant in providing state-of-the-art streetlights to the town,” says Van Tran, project manager for Ducon. “Trilliant offers some of the most field-proven, globally compliant, secure, open-spectrum software and communications.”

“This solution features an adaptive management system, providing the ability to dynamically control lighting levels,” explains Ryan Gerbrandt, managing director of the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) for Trilliant. “We strongly believe the next generation of ‘smart cities’ should be built on a network that allows for the frictionless exchange of data.”
