June 15, 2016 – Alberta’s Safety Codes Council Conference 2016 wrapped up earlier this month in Banff, Alta. and a surprise visit from Mario and Luigi during a networking session seemed to have everyone in high spirits.

Under the theme “Enhancing Safety through Innovation, Partnerships and Leadership,” organizers say the annual conference offers a friendly occasion to meet and engage with other safety codes professionals on areas of interest related to the challenges, opportunities and innovations in the safety codes system.

At the Partners Dinner, the council honoured partners who have “significantly contributed to improving the safety codes system”, and presented the Dr. Sauer Award, the Certification Award, and the Accreditation Award. Entertainment was provided by Booming Tree, a professional Japanese taiko drum group from Edmonton, Alta.
