Notifier, by Honeywell, announced its IP-based mass notification platform is now completely digital to “optimize speed and intelligibility of emergency communications,” says the release. The OnyxWorks workstation allows users to send messages via its Notify-IP internet gateway that can transfer to local, regional, national or international facilities. Its network interface allows the workstation and IP platform to integrate with the buildings new or old fire alarm voice systems. The addition of Notify IP to the OnyxWorks workstation allows users to deploy prerecorded commands or instructions to specific building areas or entire campuses. Paging zones and commands are to be set up at the time of initial installation and will be automatically sent to those locations during an emergency. The Notify-IP will confirm the delivery of messages and is encrypted for security purposes.
