August 7, 2015 (UPDATED August 10) – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our teammate and good friend, Scott Hoy, last night in hospital (Thursday, August 6). He was 51.

Scott joined Electrical Business Magazine as account manager in May 2007. Last night, August 6, 2015, he succumbed to a very aggressive cancer. He died peacefully surrounded by family, friends and colleagues.

He was a regular fixture at electrical industry conferences and tradeshows (too numerous to mention!) all across Canada (and a few in the States, too), and is known to many in our industry. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and those he leaves behind, including best friend and partner Brenda, sons Michael and Andrew, and parents Gord and Liz Hoy, not to mention many friends and family.

MEMORIAL INFORMATION
A Memorial Visitation will be held at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home (Scarborough Chapel), 2900 Kingston Road, Toronto, Ont., Friday, August 14 from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Meantime, a Celebration of Life will be held at 212 Phyllis Avenue, Scarborough, Ont., August 15 at 3 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society in his memory.
