October 12, 2020 | By Anthony Capkun

October 12, 2020 – Mark Mulholland, chair of the Canadian Construction Documents Committee, reports CCDC will be publishing the new version of CCDC 2 “Stipulated Price Contract” and the completely new Master Specification for Division 01 “General Requirements” and CCDC 31 “Service Contract Between Owner and Consultant” documents.

CCDC will be providing online training in November—across four distinct presentations—to explain the key changes to CCDC 2 and to introduce the new Division 01 document.

Presentation 1: An introduction to CCDC
This 20-minute presentation will summarize how CCDC operates, including how documents are developed, the new documents being published this winter, as well as documents in the pipeline.

Presentation 2: Changes to CCDC 2
This 2-hour presentation will explain the biggest and most crucial changes to the new version of CCDC 2 “Stipulated Price Contract”, including the “Ready-for-Takeover” project milestone, provisions regarding early-occupancy, and more. This presentation will also include a 30-minute Q&A period.

Presentation 3: The new Division 01
This 90-minute presentation will introduce the Master Specification for Division 01 “General Requirements”; attendees will learn how to get the most out of its use. This presentation will also include 15 minutes for a Q&A period.

Presentation 4: The Top 5 Questions
This final presentation will be 60 minutes in length, and feature members of the CCDC committee answering some of the most important questions received during the second and third presentations.

The registration fee for the training is $400 plus applicable taxes, with a $150 discount for each additional registrant from the same firm. This fee includes access to all four presentations and copies of the new CCDC 2 and Division 01 documents.

Each session will be capped at 50 attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. To learn more (dates, times, etc.) visit CCDC online or email info@ccdc.org.
