December 3, 2015 – Smart people don’t buy counterfeit… that’s the takeaway from our discussion yesterday with Lorne Lipkus, a Canadian expert on intellectual property and host of the 20th Annual Fraud & Anti-Counterfeiting Conference.
The gift-giving season is upon us, meaning we must be extra-vigilant to guard against the accidental purchase of counterfeited goods, which not only lack the quality and safety checks we expect, but are likely funding the activities of organized crime and terrorists. Yes, you read that right.
(You may remember Lorne from his visit to our studios nearly three years ago, when we filmed Condoms, Pickles and Circuit Breakers have WHAT in Common? Be sure to check it out.)
