Ontario utility excellence celebrated at 2016 EDA awards gala

March 7, 2016 – The Electricity Distributors Association (EDA) recently honoured top-performing electrical utilities from across Ontario at an awards gala, as part of its Annual General Meeting in Toronto.

“In a rapidly evolving system with increasing expectations from customers, we are proud of our utility members for their ability to adapt to change and deliver innovative and valuable services to Ontarians,” said Todd Wilcox, chair of the EDA.

The winners include:

Overall Performance Excellence: Oakville Hydro.

Conservation Leadership: Festival Hydro.

Communications Excellence: Burlington Hydro, for its ‘Shine’ and ‘Shine. Inside’ campaigns.

Environmental Excellence: London Hydro.

Customer Service Excellence: London Hydro.

Public Relations Excellence: Niagara Peninsula Energy, for its public centennial celebration.

Innovation Excellence: PowerStream for its “Advantage Power Pricing (APP)” pilot program.
