Optelian is now offering its new Ethernet aggregation card, which it says further enhances the capabilities of its LightGAIN Optical Networking System. In addition to intelligent Layer 2 switching capability, the new card offers full OTN support on its 10 Gb/s trunk interfaces. The new card aggregates up to eight GbE clients onto a single 10 GbE line signal for efficient wavelength usage in packet-based networks and offers dual 10 Gb/s trunk ports.
