Optelian appoints Stephen Loudermilk as director of marketing

June 10, 2011 – Stephen Loudermilk has been named director of marketing of Optelian, a designer and manufacturer of SMART (Scalable, Modular, Affordable, Reliable Transport) optical networks, where he is responsible for overseeing the company’s marketing and communications strategy and execution.
He brings more than 20 years of marketing, strategy and communications experience in the telecommunications sector to Optelian. Prior to joining Optelian, Loudermilk oversaw social media, marketing, analyst and public relations for Alcatel-Lucent’s Services Group.
“Optelian has a fantastic track record of success in the optical networking market with major network operators and vertical customers,” he said. “I’m looking forward to helping Optelian continue to grow its market-share through innovative, customer-centric marketing programs.”

Loudermilk is based in Optelian’s US headquarters in Marietta, Ga.
