October 3, 2014​ – Osram Sylvania has released its Orios LED series, including A-line, BR, R, PAR and MR16 lamps.

“We are meeting the needs of the market by delivering this new Orios LED line of solutions that are cost-effective and deliver high quality light. This is a win-win for end-users and electrical contractors and their clients,” said Robert Harrison, region head LED Lamps – Americas. 

The A19 delivers 50 and 800 lumens via 6W and 10W, and is designed to replace 40W and 60W incandescents. The BR30 and R20 deliver 650 and 325 lumens via 9W and 5W, respectively, and comes in 2700K colour temperature. Suitable for offices, residences and restaurants, the PAR LED lamp comes in 7W PAR20, 10W PAR30LN and 11W PAR38 versions with a 30° beam angle. Meanwhile, the MR16 is a 6W replacement for 30W halogen MR16 lamps narrow flood (25°) and flood beam (35°) angles. According to the company, Orios lamps offer up to 88% energy savings compared to traditional incandescents.
