Osram releases next generation Encelium Polaris 3D software

February 2, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur

February 2, 2015 – The latest version of Osram Sylvania’s Encelium lighting management software—Polaris 3D—is now available, said the company in January.

Encelium is a lighting control system that allows “owners to elevate the cost effectiveness and occupant experience of their lighting spaces with just a click of the mouse,” said the company.

According to Osram’s list of features, the new Polaris 3D software allows the configuration of a dual ballast equipped fixture with cool white and warm white lamps for automatic tuning of white light.

The list goes on to say Polaris 3D can also automatically replicate zones for spaces with partition walls (such as in hotels) so commands are automatically replicated to both zones, or they can be treated as unique spaces.

Other features include comfort property settings for reduced lighting levels during non-peak hours as well as an “assign occupancy sensing by zone and occupancy behaviour” option that can instruct the HVAC system to remain on based on true occupancy sensor status, despite the HVAC system seeing that the fixture is off.
