Outside Sales Representative – Standard

Standard, a leading Major Canadian Manufacturer / Distributor of lighting products with offices across Canada is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and organized

Sales Representative for its Okanagan Office

 

The ideal candidate must possess a
drive and passion to succeed as well as be a good team player. The Sales
representative is responsible to drive sales and profit growth by
creating the “push” through the management of their customer base while
simultaneously creating the “pull” at the end user/specifier level.


Key Responsibilities:
• Seeking out market business
opportunities in conjunction with our partnering customers

• Ensure proper
demonstration of product and features to the “push” & “pull”
customer base

• Providing lighting expertise and
technical support to our partnering customers (joint calls, lunch and
learns etc.)

• Develop business plan for key
customers, including sales objectives (12 month sales forecast by
product)

• Track and adjust the business
plan for each key customer on a monthly basis

• Review
monthly performance and provide a detailed explanation of differences
with corrective action where necessary

• Participate in activity program
• Consistently
Improve product knowledge

• Provide market information &
pricing trends to Regional Sales Manager

• Participate in trade shows
• Fully
participate in all required sales  and training activities

• Coach and
mentor Customer service/ Inside sales, and members of the sales team as
required

• Territory would cover Okanagan,
Kootenays and the North


Experience /
Skill Set Required:

• Minimum 5 years experience in an
Outside sales/Account management position

• Proven Customer service and
forecasting skills

• Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills

• Self-motivated and results driven
• Ability to
build lasting relationships with customers and develop new business

• Good
Knowledge of MS Office required (Excel, Word, Outlook, PPT etc.)

• Industry
knowledge/Technical skills a definite asset

• A University
degree in related field in administration, commerce or related field
preferred
