June 16, 2013 – Panasonic Canada announced the availability of three enterprise-grade Toughpad tablets, including the FZ-G1 (10-in. Windows 8 Pro OS, or 7 Pro through downgrade rights), and two Android-based tablets: the 7-in. JT-B1 and 10-in. FZ-A1. The tablets are designed for those who need mobile access to data when working in adverse conditions. The FZ-G1, FZ-A1 and JT-B1 are fully customizable, with options to add integrated 4G LTE mobile broadband and barcode reading technologies. The FZ-G1 also includes the option to add an additional USB port, 10/100/1000 ethernet port, smart card reader, serial port or a larger solid-state drive. Hardware encryption, root protection and FIPS compliance are available in various configurations of the Toughpads for enterprise level security. All three have MIL-STD-810G durability certification, and have been tested for drops, fluid ingress and temperature.
