Panasonic Lighting names Joseph Damiani EVP sales & marketing

September 8, 2014 – Panasonic Lighting Americas (PESLA)—a holding company for Universal Lighting Technologies and Douglas Lighting Controls—has promoted Joseph A. Damiani to the position of executive vice-president of sales & marketing.

Damiani will continue to provide leadership direction for the Universal Lighting Technologies sales & marketing divisions with more than 40 direct reports and 40 agents in all channels of North America. His promotion further aligns overarching PESLA business strategies and helps combine the strengths of Universal and Douglas, noted the company.

“With his ability to develop strategic sales process and loyal business relationships, Joe has been a critical part of our success at Universal Lighting Technologies for many years now,” said Pat Sullivan, PESLA president. “His leadership building and engaging strong sales teams combined with his vast experience will strategically strengthen and reinforce our collaborative goals. As the lighting industry continues to evolve, we must make adjustments that best align with business strategies, and we are pleased that Joe is the front man leading the charge.”

According to the company, Damiani has garnered extensive knowledge and skill in sales & marketing through his thirty years of experience in the electrical industry, twelve of those years as Universal’s senior vice-president of sales. His new appointment positions him to contribute to overall operations while additionally taking on the evolving and comprehensive lighting product solutions offered by Universal and collaborative growth opportunities for PESLA, it added.
