Panduit and ADC reach licensing agreement

August 12, 2008

Panduit Corp. has taken a license to certain ADC patents directed to angled patching, a feature employed in the enterprise structured cabling market. The licensing agreement covers angled patch panels such as the Cat 5e, 6 and 6a RJ angled patch panels that are deployed in the data centre environment. The license agreement allows Panduit to continue selling its angled patch panel products.

The
license partially resolves a patent infringement lawsuit filed by ADC
in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. In its
complaint, ADC alleged that Panduit infringed upon various patents,
including two that are directed to patch panels with angled patching.
