Paulsen and Cole re-elected to “key roles” at IEC

November 13, 2020* – The Standards Council of Canada announced the re-election of Shawn Paulsen and Marty Cole to “key roles” within the International Electrotechnical Commission. Congratulations Shawn and Marty!

“Shawn Paulsen and Marty Cole are dedicated leaders who have made considerable contributions to advancing Canada’s interests within the electrotechnical landscape,” said SCC’s Dr. Mkabi Walcott. “Their re-elections showcase confidence in Canada’s leadership on the world stage.”

Canadian leadership at the IEC ensures our electrotechnical industry has an influential voice in shaping the future of standards development and conformity assessment, added SCC.

Paulsen is manager of Conformity Assessment with CSA Group. He was re-elected as IEC vice-president and chair of the Conformity Assessment Board.

Cole is manager of Harsh & Hazardous Industries, Global Codes, Standards & Industry Specifications for Hubbell Canada LP. He was re-elected as member of the Conformity Assessment Board, and also re-elected as vice-chair of the IECEx Conformity Assessment Scheme.
