The Professional Electrical Apparatus Recyclers League (PEARL) plans to educate suppliers and reconditioners on electrical safety and sustainability initiatives, OEM partnerships and more during the 2010 Electrical Safety and Reliability Conference & Exhibition at the Westin Tabor Centre in Denver, CO, April 24-26.

Attendees kick off the conference with a facility tour of local PEARL member,
Denver Breaker and Supply, followed by a meet-and-greet reception.
Technical presentations begin Sunday with commentary on several topics
including bolt pressure switches, arc flash mitigation, and the latest
PEARL reconditioning standards for electrical transformers.

Monday begins with keynote speaker, Jerry Schemmel – survivor of United
Flight 232 plane crash, author, and voice of the Denver Nuggets – who
will talk about his perspective on surviving difficult times and the
meaning of personal and business success. Other highlights include
Nabil Nasr, director of the Golisano Institute for Sustainability at
the Rochester Institute of Technology,
who will look at sustainability
and reuse in the electrical industry; and Eaton Corporation’s
anti-counterfeit manager, Tom Grace. Grace will update attendees on
