Pentair acquires Vancouver-based Nuheat

April 8, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur

April 8, 2015 – Pentair recently announced it has acquired Nuheat, a manufacturer of electric floor heating systems based in Vancouver.

By combining Nuheat’s capabilities with Pentair’s Thermal Building Solutions (a range of Raychem heat tracing systems for pipe freeze, snow melting and de-icing applications), Pentair said it will be able to provide distributors, installers and end users with a “complete and differentiated portfolio” of floor heating and winter safety solutions.

With a 4,000 point distribution network across the U.S. and Canada, the incorporation of Nuheat into Pentair’s portfolio will enable Pentair to provide floor heating products to more customers in North America, the company added.

“As a global leader in heat-tracing systems for commercial, residential and infrastructure markets, we are continuously looking to provide the best service and expertise to our customers,” said Brad Faulconer, vice-president of Pentair’s Thermal Building Solutions. “This acquisition enables us to offer an extended, high performance and innovative product range to our North American customers as well as provide them with enhanced application expertise and design support.”
