December 3, 2015 – Pentair plc has completed its acquisition of Erico Global Company, a manufacturer and marketer of engineered electrical and fastening products for electrical, mechanical and civil applications.

“Erico is a strategic and complementary acquisition for Pentair,” said Randall J. Hogan, Pentair chair and CEO. “As a key growth platform within Pentair’s Technical Solutions business, it expands our presence in both the commercial and infrastructure sectors with a broader and stronger offering for our customers.”

Erico has 1200 employees in 30 countries, says Pentair, with brands that include Caddy fixing, fastening and support products, and Erico electrical grounding, bonding and connectivity products.

Pentair Technical Solutions is a global player in “systems and solutions that safeguard industrial controls, electrical components, communications hardware, electronic devices, pipelines, processes and building winter protection”. Among its brands are Hoffman, Raychem, Schroff and Tracer.
