July 7, 2014 – MP Global Products introduced Perfectly Warm radiant heat film designed for floating engineered wood and laminate floors, and some floating tile floors.

The lightweight, roll-out line-voltage system promises gradual supplemental warmth from low-wattage resistance heating of thin, flexible radiant heat film, using 6W/sf. The film installs in one day without any mortar or glue, says MP Global, though a licensed electrician is required for hookup to the electronic programmable thermostat. The heat film is available in four rollout pad sizes and does not require any maintenance.
