September 20, 2018 | By Peter Saunders

September 20, 2018 – General Electric (GE) has promoted Jennifer Erickson from executive director of global communications, a role she held since 2015, to chief communications officer (CCO).

In her previous role, Erickson was responsible for developing and executing GE’s external communications strategy. In her new position, she will lead efforts on a global scale, including internal and external communications, public affairs, executive communications and public relations (PR). She will report to Linda Boff, chief marketing officer (CMO).

“Jen is a top strategic leader, with a proven track record of communicating in times of change,” says Boff. “Her hard work, superb instincts and team leadership will be great assets as we continue to transform GE for the future.”

Prior to joining GE in 2013, Erickson spent more than 15 years at Motorola, where she held several senior communications leadership positions, rising to CCO of the company’s mobility division.
