August 29, 2016 – Magna IV Engineering has appointed Kelly Butz, P.Eng., as CEO effective September 1, 2016, replacing Ken Unruh, P.Eng., who will assume a position with the board.

“I want to thank Ken Unruh for the coaching I have received from him, and his continuous reminder to ‘Do as we say’. It will be a legacy that will remain with our company for a long time to come,” said Butz, who has been part of the Magna IV team for 12 years, serving most recently as vice-president, Engineering.

The company credits its growth over the past eight years to Ken, as it expanded from a single operating region in Edmonton to 10 offices across Canada, the United States and Chile, and from 80 employees to over 240.

“As we build our company, we will be the firm that defines ‘electrical confidence’,” said Butz. “Our services will expand as we pick up new leading-edge technologies, provide construction management, and grow our control systems expertise.”
