February 21, 2018 - EBMag has just learned Larry Cantelo has been elected president of the Electrical Inspectors Association of Alberta. Congratulations!

Larry has been an independent electrical trainer for about the past five years, dealing with topics such as the CE Code, energy storage, Red Seal preparation, troubleshooting, electrical theory, blueprint reading, motor control, electric vehicle infrastructure training and solar photovoltaics (PV).

Prior to that, he served as an electrical instructor at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) for about 12 years.

His various certifications include: Professional Electrical Contractor (PEC); Red Seal interprovincial journeyman electrician; Business management; Photovoltaic installer; Construction technology; and Electrical safety codes officer (Groups A & B).

EIAA consists of electrical inspectors throughout the province who share a common interest in electrical safety. The association’s primary focus is to provide education, and to assist the government and private industry in understanding the CE Code and its application.
