September 28, 2018 – Hans Meiring, executive vice-president (EVP) and president of operations and international business for industrial electrical cable manufacturer Southwire, will retire at the end of the year.

Meiring has spent more than 40 years in the wire and cable industry. He joined Southwire in 2012 and, as chief operating officer (COO), helped expand the company’s reach to new markets around the world.

“I’m very thankful for the time spent here,” he says. “I’ve seen growth, industry leadership and significant advancements for the company.”

As Meiring transitions into retirement, chief human resources officer (CHRO) Kathleen Edge will become EVP of operations. She joined Southwire in 2013 and has gained cross-functional leadership experience in finance and other areas.
