January 12, 2012 | By Alyssa Dalton

January 12, 2012 – Earlier this week, Philips Lighting Canada revealed that the Philips lamps, lighting controls, and electronics business will now be known as Philips Light Sources and Electronics, which helps to “better differentiate and reflect market focus”.

Pierre Legare, director of professional sales, Philips Light Sources & Electronics Canada, also announced several organizational changes:

Steven Stanton has been appointed to the position of senior manager, distribution sales, Central for Philips Light Sources & Electronics Canada, where he will oversee the commercial activities for the Ontario sales team.  Prior to joining Philips, Stanton was working as sales supervisor for Thomas & Betts in the greater Toronto market.

“Philips business in western Canada has grown significantly and due to the strategic importance of this area, a new sales region has been created to ensure management decision making and strategy remain at the regional level.  Effective immediately, the western region will be split into 2 sales regions – BC and Midwest,” explained Legare.
