Philips Lighting Canada recently announced the appointment of Phil Verge to the position of director of professional sales, based out of the Markham, Ont., head office.

With more than 25 years of experience in the lighting industry, Phil
was most recently the Canadian director of ballast and OEM sales for
Philips Lighting Electronics (Advance ballasts). After 9 1/2 years in
this position, it was a natural transition, says the company, for him
to expand his role to oversee the entire Professional Lighting Sales
organization, encompassing lamps, ballasts and controls, and including
National Accounts and the OEM channel.

Phil holds a degree from Sheridan College, together with sales and
marketing credits from The University of Western Ontario’s Richard Ivey
School of Business.
